Fresh, clean electricity made in Austria.

With the opening of the EWS Sonnenfeld in Mining, 17.2 million kWh are fed into the grid every year. With electricity for more than 4,900 households, it is currently the largest agri-PV plant in Upper Austria. Energie AG, EWS and Governor Thomas Stelzer celebrated the successful commissioning together with landowners and mayors.

Double use, double gain.

Alina Mirwald, co-owner of EWS: "The agri-PV system we developed for grassland and arable land - the EWS Sonnenfeld® - still allows 80% of the area to be used primarily for agricultural purposes. Sun catchers - tracked and controllable trackers - ensure maximum electricity yields beyond the midday peaks, i.e. also in the morning and evening hours. The modules can be tilted up to 70° or positioned horizontally for cultivation by the farmer as required, meaning that even large harvesting machines can work the cultivated areas quickly and easily."
