For the second time this year, on 26 September 2026, the Vienna Climate Run took place as a ‘climate protection charity run’ on the Prater Hauptallee in Vienna.&
Every lap run – each 1.5 km long – contributes to climate protection by helping to safeguard forests in Austria or rainforests in Costa Rica. With a total distance of 91.5 km, our six EWS Runners – from Parndorf and Vienna – have thus offset emissions amounting to 1,249.2 kg CO₂-eq!
The kilometres run by the EWS team will help to protect 91.5 m² of woodland in the Dürrenstein-Lassingtal wilderness area by setting it aside from use for at least 80 years.
In addition, 10 euros from each entry fee will go towards social climate protection projects in South Sudan.
