The EWS team at the Vienna Climate Run 2026

For the second time this year, on 26 September 2026, the Vienna Climate Run took place as a “climate protection charity run” on the Prater Hauptallee in Vienna. Every lap run contributes to climate protection, with each 1.5 km lap helping to protect forests in Austria or rainforests in Costa Rica. In addition, 10 euros from each entry fee goes towards social climate protection projects in South Sudan. With a total distance of 91.5 km, our five EWS runners from Parndorf and Vienna have thus offset a carbon footprint of 1,249.2 kg CO₂-eq. This will enable 91.5 m² of woodland in the Dürrenstein-Lassingtal wilderness area to be protected, as it will be set aside from use for at least 80 years.

And because there are also keen runners in the EWS team from Munderfing, a fantastic team of four also took part in this year’s Business Run in Salzburg on 17 September.
