We know which way the wind is blowing!

The success of a wind farm starts with choosing the right site.

Only by knowing the wind potential precisely can one reliably assess yields and economic viability. Whether it’s a measurement mast, LiDAR or SoDAR – every wind measurement method has its strengths. Which method is most suitable depends on the specific site conditions and the complexity of the terrain.

The key factors are:

  • a well-thought-out measurement concept
  • professional surveys and
  • the right time

As wind measurements require sufficient lead time, we recommend starting them early in the preliminary planning stage.

The accredited EWS Testing Centre supports the entire process – from wind measurement and the verification of remote sensing equipment up to 200 metres above ground level, right through to a bankable measurement report. - This forms an important basis for robust wind assessments, yield forecasts and site evaluations.

Even in the case of complex terrain and remote locations, we develop bespoke solutions – including a reliable, autonomous power supply.
