For stationary storage systems with an energy content of more than 100 kWh, a draft guideline (TRVB 165) from the fire brigade association and fire prevention bodies exists, which regulates distances, access and fire water. Its draft also provides for a fire protection plan with an emergency plan and contact details, and the entire plant must be able to be de-energised in the event of damage. A conversation with the local fire brigade is therefore a good component of any citizen information. For grid projects, easements are added, which, if no agreement is reached, can be enforced by the authority against compensation under certain statutory conditions; this too should be addressed openly. Consultation hours, information evenings and consultations in the municipal council before construction starts are also helpful, and visible local benefits can improve approval. A clear schedule shows when the municipal council and authorities are involved and when the public can have its say.
