On large PV sites, construction progress happens in many places at once: piling, mounting structure, module installation, cabling, transformer stations and grid connection run side by side in sections. The platform summarises this status and makes schedules and results traceable for the client, financiers and the project team. It complements the classic target-actual comparison of schedules that building supervision carries out with a view that is available without a site visit. Each construction section shows its status: planned, in progress or completed. The map-based display helps to keep an overview of large areas, and our team updates the progress regularly. Access is via an individual access code. On request, financing institutions or investors can be given access. The documented status per construction section is also an understandable basis for quantity surveying and interim invoices, which building supervision reviews.
Transparent construction progress has solid reasons in PV projects. Funding contracts under the Renewable Energy Expansion Act (EAG) come with commissioning deadlines, and commissioning itself requires coordination with the grid operator. Anyone who knows the status of the individual sections spots bottlenecks early and can act before deadlines become tight. Conditions from the permit decision, such as construction time restrictions for nature conservation, can also be taken into account better in the construction sequence if the status of the work is visible to everyone involved. There are deadlines for funding as well: different commissioning deadlines apply to the investment grant and the market premium under the Renewable Energy Expansion Act (EAG), depending on the type of funding and the plant size; the relevant funding contract and funding conditions are decisive. If a construction time window limits the building season for nature conservation reasons, a status view per section shows immediately what still needs to be caught up. Which period applies depends on the permit decision, the protected asset and the location. Several parties see the same status, and queries about construction progress can be clarified without a site inspection. Commissioning must also be coordinated with the grid operator; the required tests, approvals and meter work depend on the grid connection and the grid operator and belong in the schedule. Which evidence must be submitted for the final settlement depends on the funding conditions and the funding contract; anyone who tracks the status of the grid connection in the schedule recognises early whether the documents will be available in time.
