Turnkey PV plant from a single source: as an EPC contractor we deliver agri-PV, ground-mounted PV and PV on car parks with one point of contact.

Whether agri-PV for the dual use of grassland and arable land, fixed or tracker-mounted ground-mounted PV plants, or photovoltaics on paved areas and car parks: we realise your project with a clear focus on quality and cost-effectiveness. For us, turnkey means one central point of contact for the entire PV project.

EPC stands for Engineering, Procurement and Construction, in other words planning, procurement and construction from a single source. An EPC contract can bundle planning, procurement and construction; whether commissioning, tests and operational readiness are included is governed by the specific contract. For you this means one point of contact instead of many individual trades and clear responsibility for the overall result. The interfaces to grid connection, operation and financing are important here: the schedules and testing regime of the construction contract should fit these contracts. An agreed completion date, contractual penalties for delay and performance tests before takeover, in which the plant must reach an agreed performance ratio, are usual. That the installer confirms the professional execution of installation and fixing is also often a prerequisite for commissioning.

With agri-PV, agricultural requirements come into play. DIN SPEC 91434, developed in Germany, treats agricultural use as the primary use and provides for a clear height of at least 2.10 m for elevated plants (category I); it is not an Austrian legal requirement. The loss of land due to the plant is limited, and the agricultural use concept is developed in the planning phase jointly by the land user and the EPC company. For ground-mounted plants on grassland and arable land, funding guidelines in Upper Austria also require plants that can be removed without leaving residue, with sufficient distance to the ground and between the module rows. Yield is also addressed in this standard: at least 66 percent of the reference yield is to be achieved on the total project area, and the loss of land may be no more than 10 percent for category I (elevated) and no more than 15 percent for category II (close to the ground). Fundamentally, the distribution of risks is decisive: cost overruns are generally borne by the contractor, who can essentially claim additional costs only for delays or change requests from the project company. In a bidder consortium, the members' liability depends on their legal form and the contractual agreements. The agri-PV use concept includes a use plan for three years or one crop rotation cycle. Bank guarantees or retentions that tie up part of the contract value until acceptance are usually used as security.

We manage all phases from planning through procurement and delivery and installation to commissioning. This creates transparent processes, reliable schedules and little coordination effort for you. We advise you on the selection of components such as modules, transformer and inverter; the basis is the tender for PV components. Our agri-PV plant EWS Sonnenfeld shows the result. During implementation, local building supervision provides support, and environmental construction supervision looks after the conditions relating to nature and landscape.
