Efficient process support - from the preliminary EIA procedure to the Section 18c procedure
The wind farm Lavamünd is being built on a wooded ridge in the municipality of the same name in the extreme south-east of Carinthia, right on the border with Slovenia.
A challenging location where our comprehensive expertise in approval planning was particularly in demand.
From the support to the preparation of the corresponding submission documents, we responsibly supervised the preliminary EIA procedure, the Espoo procedure, the EIA procedure and a procedure in accordance with Section 18c UVPG."
Project highlights
- The entire wind farm site is located on a wooded ridge at an altitude of around 1,300 metres above sea level.
- EWS experts initiated and supported a preliminary EIA procedure and a cross-border Espoo procedure.
- Extensive accompanying ecological planning in close coordination with our approvals team. Surveys were carried out for the environmental impact by our 9-strong biology team. The findings of the surveys were immediately taken into account in the approval planning.
- The new transformer station to be built at the wind farm is part of the project and was integrated into the planning.
- Implementation of a §18c procedure to change the type of wind turbine.
- Support in the course of public relations work in the sense of public information events on site.
